Twisted Nylon Rope

The strongest and most widely used rope fiber in general use today. Excellent for anchor lines, mooring and dock lines because this fiber absorbs sudden shock loads that could snap ropes made of other fibers, or cause damage to boat fittings. Excellent resistance to abrasion. Rot resistant and not damaged by oil, grease, gasoline, mildew, marine growth, or most chemicals. Can be stowed wet. 3-strand twisted rope is spliceable; however, a minimum of four extra tucks should be made to assure a dependable splice.
